Seafood Express in Meridian

Absolutely love the food. Hushpuppy were so creamy and delicious. The shrimp poboy had enough shrimp for 2. I'm just in shock I found this food hidden in a gas station. 5 stars for sure

Good food and nice portions

Pretty good for the location. Very good selection of fresh food. I enjoyed my meal and the experience. I'm only in town for work but I will definitely visit this place again before I leave.

Excellent food ,at a gud price

Food is great, 8/10...BUT...It's one of the most unorganized order and pickup systems I've ever seen. It's based inside a gas station which is fine if organized correctly. A true madhouse and whirlwind experience to get from the point of purchase to picking up your food. To add, the call in and pickup procedure in my experience is not dependable either. They should adopt the number on reciept system versus first names called out that causes confusion when you have 3 John's running up to the pickup area at the same time. Also, they should consider sticking to a dedicated food pickup, convenience store cash register, and order line. Finally, a little creativity of the gondolas; spacing them where there is clear and adequate space for the 2 dedicated order and pickup lines that form would be nice. As is, you just about have to cut line to get over to the back of it and find your place; akin to a life sized, stirred up ant bed in a convenient store. But the food is great.

Omg this was my first time here.. And it won't be my last!!! I really enjoyed the Shrimp Po Boy!!! The amount of food you get for the price is amazing!!! They really move fast in this place.. The food was made to order!!! When you go just know it will be a long line but you will get out really fast!! To the way the women take the order, you pay, and receive your food withing 10 minutes it's like dang y'all fast!!!! I got the combo for under $10

Fantastic value for the money. Not the best location - in a gas station - but fine, really fine shrimp poboys.

DELICIOUS VEGGIE BAGS.

Fried chicken was moist and had a great crispy crust. Go early though cause they ran out of the green bean & mac’n’cheese sides of my dinner combo by 4:30pm. The tater wedges as a substitute just didn’t make the grade. They had gizzards and I was tempted to order a few but I like livers better so I passed. Many combos and other menu items offered- a lot to consider. Another customer ahead of me said “it’s all good - can’t go wrong with anything you choose.”

This is a local service stationthat serves amazing poboys and seafood! Yes, it is a service station that has bars on the windows... the food is awesome.

I am writing this review a couple days late, but it is still fresh in my mind. I recently visited Seafood Express and I will say that 5 stars isn't enough to rate this establishment. I unfortunately don't have any pictures of the food I ordered. I first ordered the combo plate of 6 shrimp and the catfish fillet. 2 sides, Mac & cheese and potato wedges. I honestly can't think of enough good things about it. The shrimp and fish were hot and breaded perfectly. Flavor, absolutely amazing. The catfish was flaky and had perfect crisp from the crust. Shrimp and sides were also hand in hand. My food was so amazing that I returned later that day and ordered their boiled crawfish. Also was wonderful and had just the right amount of spice.

I give it all 5 stars because the service is good and the food is even better

Food was delicious. Service was great. I highly recommend getting a shrimp poboy. Price doesn't hurt.

If you're on a budget this is DEFINITELY a go to store.. Anybody who knows ME; knows I love chicken so getting a 5 piece dark with honey mustard sauce or sweet and sour is all good with me. Try the red lush!!!

First time going today had the Shrimp PoeBoy and it was good. Had so many shrimp they kept falling out the bread filled me up will definitely be going back

Great lunch stop on Hwy39. Always crowded so suggest you call-in orders. Chicken,crawfish,and po-boys too. A fav here in town.

My husband and I were visiting in town. I googled for the best Seafood in town and this location popped up. Can't believe it was a gas station. Did not disappoint. The food was fresh and tasted delicious!!.

The appearance of this place can't takeaway how good the food is. The Catfish poboy was real good, could use another little piece of fish added to it, but still good. The Shrimp poboy was full of shrimp. Enough to make a nice small poboy if you got some extra bread laying around. I'll be back.

This is my place nothin like it, always busy but I'm gonna always wait well worth it.

The fish here is good . If you live in the area it's a well known place

Great food! Oysters and frog leags are very good but hey there fried lol. The girls picking on eacthother was entertaining as well. You can tell they have fun while they put togeather your order. I did have to go back in for the rest of take out order but had no problems. It's a must eat.

I asked three times for ketchup, ranch, and hot sauce. Was told they were out. Yet, the lady in front of me was given a bag of ketchup and hot sauce. Maybe because I'm white??

Oh my goodness! Sitting in a gas station store eating some of the best crawfish and shrimp we’ve ever had! Lots of locals in for lunch.

Oh my goodness their shrimp poboys are amazing!!! It was over flowing with shrimp. I had to literally eat shrimp that was falling off the sandwich before I could take a bite. And the price couldn't be beat.

First time I ate here, was in the early to mid 2000`s, they were out on Hwy 11 South almost to I 20.I am devoted to the Shrimp Po Boy. That one sandwich is enough to keep me coming back, even though I now live in Brandon, MS.I am always amazed how many fried shrimp they can get on a 6 inch or the full 8 inch Po Boy! Someday, I am going to have to try other menu items such as fried chicken, fried catfish, or potato logs.Seafood Express is definitely a hidden gem in Meridian.Don't let the fact that they are in a convience store/gas station, across from the BMW dealership fool you. You will not be disappointed with the shrimp Po Boy!

It is express...like a grill/kitchen within a gas station. However, food is very tasty. Seafood and chicken on menu. I tried and enjoyed the oyster poboy.

I had a delicious gumbo and hush puppies. We also had the frog legs and shrimp po boy which were excellent. My son had the chicken and only thought it was okay. We loved everything else.

The fried shrimp and oysters were fresh, large and succulent. Though the poboys were also rated excellent we wanted to share the 9 piece shrimp and oyster combo plate with two sides for $11. One of the sides we chose was fried rice. The other side was hushpuppies. The owner being Vietnamese, the fried rice had a Cajon twist to it. The fried chicken looked pretty wonderful too. Not everything is fried and you can get different fish that is in season grilled or blackened. Don't let the location keep you away. Seafood Express is located in a gas station with a no frills counter where you step up to place your order. There is some seating available. But it's ALL about the food which can't be beat.

Found on a roadtrip from Georgia to Arkansas. Surprisingly tasty! Aesthetics aside, the food was made to order, hot and tasty. I tried the combo 6 shrimp and 1 Whiting filet. The shrimp was just okay, but the fish was delicious. The spot seems very popular during lunch as I saw lots of people from all industries come in for a plate.

Great food, excellent service. Had the shrimp poboy. Great taste with the right amount of spices. Will definitely be going back.

The crawfish were amazing. I eat a lot of crawfish all over the place and these were definitely competitive with the best. They were only $4.59 a pound and 2.99 for the bag of potatoes and corn.

Wow, this place is surprisingly amazing. The shrimp po-boy is ridiculously huge and the shrimp taste as good as any shrimp I've ever had.

The city itself brags about the neckbone bags. I know the chicken is fried light and crispy. It's seasoned just right as well. Also, a local resident told me that the shrimp PoBoys are excellent.

If you haven’t read the reviews or heard about his place you’d never imagine this gas station as a great place to get a bite. Even with that knowledge I still went in thinking this could be a big mistake, but am I glad I stopped in!!

Got fried oyster plate, cooked just right!

Passing thru and saw pretty good reviews so decided to stop.. ordered the 12 shrimp, fries and hushpuppies.. Shrimp cooked and tasted perfect. Hushpuppies were good. Fries were fresh but kinda cooked hard...great meal for $9... chicken was great also.. will b back..
